CLINIC FLYER
The Princeton wrestling coaching staff, which amassed two NCAA titles and six All-America honors over their respective collegiate careers, is offering a clinic on October 27 for all high school and club coaches.
Led by head coach Chris Ayres, who is in his seventh season of rebuilding the Tiger wrestling program, the Princeton staff will spend the afternoon going over several aspects of coaching, including technical foundation, drilling and warm up. Registration begins at 12:30, and the clinic will go through a live wrestling session that lasts until 3 pm.
There will be a meet & greet with the Tiger coaching staff following the clinic.
The registration fee is $30, and it includes a Princeton wrestling t-shirt, as well as food and drinks at the meet & greet. It will take place in the Princeton Wrestling Room, located on E-level inside Jadwin Gym.
To register for the clinic, please email Joe Dubuque (jdubuque@princeton.edu) or sign up here; you can also register at the door.
ABOUT THE COACHES
Chris Ayres has brought national credibility back to Princeton wrestling, and he is building the Tigers into a program he believes can be amongst the national elite. The former EIWA champion has brought Princeton wrestlers to the NCAA Championships over each of the last three years, including a career-best three last year. Ayres also helped return the EIWA Championships to Jadwin Gym for the first time in 25 years, and his standout junior Garrett Frey reached his second EIWA final.
Sean Gray is in his second year as a Princeton assistant coach. A two-time NCAA All-America, Gray has coached 12 NCAA qualifiers during his time at both Boston University and Princeton. He coached the only two CAA champions from Boston University. Gray was a three-time EWL champion while competing for Virginia Tech.
Joe Dubuque, in his first year as a Princeton assistant, is well-known among both the local and national wrestling scene. A two-time NCAA champion and three-time All-America at Indiana, Dubuque won two New Jersey state championships while at Glenn Ridge High School. He has coached nine All-Americas while an assistant coach at Indiana.
Joe Jamison is in his eighth season as an assistant coach at Princeton University. He is also the coach for a local club, PAWS Elite Wrestling Club, and he is a USA Wrestling certified coach.
